Description:
Rolla's Ceropegia is a tall erect, tuberous herb, Endemic to Western Ghats of Maharashtra. Stem pubescent. Leaves ovate, puberulous above. Cymes subaxillary and terminal, many flowered, peduncle and pedicals hirsute. Flower 2.3-3.5 cm long, tube 1.5-2.5 cm long, base slightly inflated, inside aring of haors at the bottom, rest glabrous; petals 8-13 x 2.5 mm, linear oblong, hairless. Outer corona of five short, entire or notched lobes, ciliate, inner erect, subclavate.
Habitat:
Flowering: August-September.
It grows on the open top of both the forts at an altitude of about
1200-1300 m.
Notes:
Endemic to Maharashtra and Critically Endangered.
