Description:

This short (about 5 cm) solitary herb had 2 flowering stems, with radially symmetric flowers with five separated white petals and green sepals. The flower was open on one stem. One single or two terminal flowers on the specimen observed. Help with ID welcome!

Habitat:

Open, rocky area, Skaftafell National Park. Habitat can be seen here:

Looks very similar to Spergula arvensis; the Corn Spurrey. http://www.iceland-nh.net/plants/data/Spergula-arvensis/spergula_arvensis.html
My guess would be Caryophyllaceae
