Field Notes

Description:

The remains of a marginated tortoise, wich I was handed few years ago, to rehabiliate her after a car accident she had. She had spend at least a month in the wildlife sanctuary I was working as a volunteer, but she had stopped eating, so I took her in to my garden to live along with another female turtle, wich was rehabiliating as well. Unfortunately she died a couple of weeks later, although she seemed she was getting better... I burried her in the garden and she was unearthed yesterday, during our seasonal garden maintenance. I snapped some pics and I re-burried her in situ.
The other turtle, named "Mana kouragio" (mother courage) was released succesfully in the wild.
