Description:
The shape of the antenna is longer than the width of the pronotum. The elytra are parallel-sides with irregular patches of yellowish scales and each bears a row of shiny raised tubercles. The femora are toothed below. This weevil is a troublesome garden pest: the adults chew the leaves and shoots of many plants, but the larvae destroy roots, mainly this of potted plants.
