Description:
Several of these fungal?, masses were growing around base of uprooted oak, along side some honey mushrooms. They attracted a cornucopia of arthropods from a beetle to tiny gnats. The white/cream areas were rigid and solid, the amber areas were a viscous liquid, and the dark brown/black areas were a gelatinous mass. Odor was not strong, consisting of decaying humus.
