Description:
In the light from an outdoor lamp I was hoping to see some beautiful Moths. This little guy did not really catch my eye at a first glimpse. But to my surprice, this specimen turned out to be the most interesting spotting around that lamp... Size15-20mm
I thought it had a quite unusual shape for a moth, so I slowly moved one of my finger towards it. Instead of flying away, it started to walk sideways to escape the threat. I caught is to investigate a bit more... It was jumping frequently between the paper and the glass (my temporary trap), and it also used the wings a bit...
Habitat:
Lodge, semi urban area. Attracted to light.
Notes:
My guess is that it is a hopper of some kind. I hope the pictures shows enough to support a possible ID.
