Description:

looks similar to a bullfrog but is not as big. Also it has the folds on its back that the green frog has, I think! Note large tympanum behind eye.

Habitat:

marshy pond at the Blue Heron Reserve near Chilliwack, BC. There were several sitting on the side of the pond when we walked up and they jumped into the water. Their mottled coloration was a great camouflage in the pond vegetation.
