Field Notes

Description:

approx 12cm leg span. Very calm even when being directed out the door by a straw broom. Fast.

Habitat:

Lounge room

Notes:

I think she is H. jugulans but information suggests a microscope is needed to tell between local species (H. cervina or H. jugulans mostly.) Queensland Museaum identified that there were 37 species in Queensland so like many of the spiders we see here this one may be unidentified in NSW. She is the first Heteropoda Huntsman I have seen so it is great to add a new one to the collection of images
