There is no mention of Lynx (Lynx canadensis) occurring in Arizona. See http://www.azgfd.gov/w_c/urban_bobcat.shtml , http://www.fs.fed.us/database/feis/animals/mammal/lyca/all.html#GENERAL DISTRIBUTION , http://maps.iucnredlist.org/map.html?id=12518 AND "the bobcat’s coat is regionally distinct – a gray-brown color having evolved in arid parts of the U.S." (from the suggestion link).
It is entirely possible that it could be a lynx, however, when in doubt, do not assume. The coloration suggests a lynx, but the range of the lynx ends just shy of the Arizona border. The ear tufts and ear spots are not defined well enough to sway me one way or another. Do you have any other photos?
