Description:

Found this specimen all alone in the woods. Super brilliant shiny red color. Very slimy/slippery to touch

Habitat:

Florida pine n oak woods. Bout a mile away from the beach.
Specimen found in middle of the trail, on some pine straw.

Witch's hat

Hygrocybe conica

I'll go with Witch's Hat also. The yellow stem practically gives it away. The cap turns conical after it ages. https://greennature.com/gilled-mushrooms/
