Brandt's Cormorant

Similar to the Double-crested. It lacks the scallop markings on the back of the bird. Shorter tail and darker bill color. During the non-breeding season the chin of the bird is light in color and can be blue on closer looks. As well as the eyes are blue. In the breeding season the blue of the neck will stand out more clearly. During flight the neck is more straight then the Double-crested which is not. These birds are coastal birds and would not be found inland.
