Vespidae, Vespa sp., I would say and probably Vespa tropica, quite a common wasp in your area. There is another similar one: Polistes sagittarius, but looking at the shape of the body segments and colors I would rule out this. The yellow band is quite sharply restricted: http://www.vespa-bicolor.net/main/vespid/polistes-sagittarius.htm http://www.vespidae.be/Polistinae/Polistes_sagittarius.htm http://lazy-lizard-tales.blogspot.ch/2010/10/raffles-museum-treasures-banded-paper.html Other links for Vespa tropica: http://www.vespa-bicolor.net/main/vespid/vespa-tropica.htm http://www.vespidae.be/Vespinae/Vespa_tropica.htm http://eol.org/pages/259339/overview http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Vespa_tropica_sec.jpg Some nice videos! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_cInpYhRLI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scV_gJ6CRIs Please, verify!!
