Description:

This member of Campanulaceae family, also known as 'Pride of Sussex' is herbaceous perennial plant reaching up to 50cm in height. The head-shaped inflorescence is deep blue, and each head is actually a collection of smaller inflorescences, huddled together. The stem is simple, glabre and erect, bearing few narrow lanceolate leaves. At the basis of stems, there are large ovate and serrated leaves.

Habitat:

Plant is widespread in mountains of Central Europe, and here seen in alpine pastures of Jura Natural Reserve.
