Description:

Mountain parrot. Very smart. Named for the "kea" call it makes. Can kill sheep.

Willowbank nature reserve

People swore we'd have no trouble seeing these in the Glacial areas of the South Island, mostly because they would be tearing the windshield wipers off any car left unattended. They lied! We saw lots of Kaka, but no Kea.
