Hi Jim... these look more like juvenile E pulverulenta or E perriniana leaves to me (or possibly 50 other species). Note the way these leaves are closely opposite. With the gums it is most important to also see the trunk, bark, flowers and preferably the growth habit of the whole tree to be certain of an ID. How did you get to species for this one?
