Field Notes

Description:

About 7 cm long. Dark grey brown in colour with yellow bands down its body. A pair of red and yellow spots run down the length of its body on either side of the midline. It has a black tail with a white tip that bobs back and forth as it walks.

Habitat:

Overgrown mixed annuals (nyctaginaceae, asteraceae, lamiaceae) beside a railroad track.

Notes:

Crossing the street.
