Field Notes

Description:

A California wildflower. There are many subspecies to this so I am leaving at the basic. Short grey multiple leaves up long reddish stems. Flowers are trumpet shaped red flowers. The stamen and pistols extend past the end of the flowers.

Habitat:

These were spotted along road and trails above the coastline.
