Description:

Most of the sponges of this species that I have seen in Bonaire were a beautiful pink, which I will post in other spottings but this one was in an unusual rusty red color and in a beautiful flatbed sand spot.
One striking fact mentioned in Wikipedia is that they can continue growing for hundreds of years as long as undisturbed.

Habitat:

Near the dive site called Reef Scientifico (they grow coral colonies there).
