Field Notes

Description:

About 20mm total large, dark colour with orange - yellow spots on the legs.
Insects in this family are commonly called stilt-legged flies, after their characteristically long legs. The fore legs are markedly smaller than the other pairs.

Habitat:

Spotted at Tana Toraja area, Sulawesi.
Stilt-legged fly are common in tropical and subtropical habitats.
