Field Notes

Description:

Slugs are invertebrate animals - mollusk/gastropod. They are nocturnal, but are sometimes active during daylight on rainy days.

Habitat:

Found in fields, woods, and gardens. They like damp, shady places. In daytime, under rocks and logs.

Notes:

This slug was on the edge of a pansy flowerpot on my patio.
