Description:

Strong, long jaws with prominent teeth; upper body covered with horn like plates; long tail; coloure is gray or gray-olive, belly is yellowish.

Habitat:

Freshwater lakes, swamps and rivers. Photo taken at Northern Serengeti Plains, Tanzania.
