Habitat:

Parque Ecológico Copolita - Ecological Park Copolita, Oaxaca

Photo taken close to park entrance and parking area. It was about 5 to 6 meters high in a tree in the early afternoon.

Makes sense. Now I wonder what our Echidnas do in Aust. Looking it up now... thanks :-)
When the rains come in May or June it really does come down hard so imagine porcupines in the Huatulco area are more likely to be accustomed to seeking high ground or trees!
I would never have thought of porcupines as climbers. Wonderful little animal.
