Field Notes

Description:

Larger than a quarter. Very long legs with black and brownish banding. White and black stripes on his head and a solid colored abdomen. I've never seen a spider like this.

Habitat:

Found this beauty under some fencing we were moving that had been laying on the ground a few weeks.

Notes:

I decided funnel weaver because of the web. I used this website to help me decide: http://www.spiderzrule.com/commonspidersusa.htm
