Congratulation Malcolm, this great series is our Spotting of the Day! "Who's feeding this clutch of barn swallow chicks (Hirundo rustica) in our Spotting of the Day? Not an adult, but a juvenile bird, identified by the lack of long tail streamers. Barn swallow parents sometimes get help to feed their young, usually from older siblings from previous clutches, but also from unrelated juveniles. Spotted in Spain by Project Noah ranger Malcolm Wilton-Jones. With 22,497 spottings, Malcom is by far our most prolific contributor!
