Field Notes

Description:

A small orb spider with a white abdomen and two distinctive eyespots. The web has a clear centre and two thickened radiating lines, called a stabilimentum. Image #2 shows two larerally placed marks on the web, visible only from side on. I do not know their function.

Suburban garden
