Description:

This is Frieda, a siberian eagle owl that lives in captivity and forms part of a raptor flying exhibit, here in Belgium (http://www.uilenhof.be/old/).
These owls are very large and powerful. They have ear tufts and orange eyes. The feathers are a freckled dark colored with cream to white background.Nocturnal. The call of the female is more high-pitched than that of the male.

Habitat:

In their natural habitat they are distributed from rocky areas to forests.
