Description:

Golden horse fly resting on a vehicle. I've never taken a close look at one. What terrible, efficient mouth parts. Insects aren't my strong suit, but I poked around online. Beaker98 helped me out with the ID, Tabanus fulvulus ... thanks!

Beautiful, terrible creature. Found photos that look similar, but I'm no horse fly expert. I was thinking maybe Tabanus sackeni ... can anyone help with an ID?
