Field Notes

Description:

Just under 2' tall, with 5-6' wing span. Smaller than a Bald Eagle, and taller then Red-Tailed Hawk.

Habitat:

Tiny forest edge, tucked closely between residential neighborhood and lake

Notes:

Vocalizing and perched on branch below/beside nest. 9am spotting.
