Field Notes

Description:

A large gregarious mottled honeyeater but the smallest of the wattlebirds.
Its relatives have red or yellow(Tasmania) wattles (dangley bits) on their cheeks but tiny brown inconspicuous ones in this species.

Habitat:

Cranbourne Botanical Gardens are planted with winter flowering shrubs and trees and is a winter bird haven
