Field Notes

Description:

Very large patches of these were on a massive woodchip mulch pile left untouched for a couple of years in a local back yard. Short narrow stipes; very crowded habit; the caps seemed to get up to 60mm across.

Habitat:

Local suburban back yard.

Notes:

Yet to search for species... maybe Marasmiaceae type with the little cross-gill structures ? <br> Compare to M.luxurians (?not recorded in Aus)
