This is a large tree with opposite simple leaves.

Habitat:

This tree grows in wet soils if stream banks, flood plains, and swamps.

Notes:

The seeds of the Silver Maple are eaten by Wild Turkey, Northern Bobwhite, finches, squirrels and chipmunks.
