Description:
Siamang gibbon is a species of lesser apes live in tropical forest in Sumatra and Peninsular Malaysia. Siamang is the largest among other gibbon species. They live in family group consisting of adult male, adult female, and 1-3 children. Previously, they are known to be monogamous, but recent research suggests they occur with extra males as well.
Habitat:
Primary and secondary tropical forest.
This photo is taken in Way Canguk Station Research, run by Wildlife Conservation Society-Indonesia Programme. The ecosystem type is lowland tropical rainforest.

This individual is adult female.
