Description:

It looked like a wasp, but it had a sting I would not like to be around.... maybe is not a wasp?! It is a wasp a Ichneumon wasp.

Yes, it is a wasp in the family Ichneumonidae. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ichneumonidae The long sting is actually an egg-laying tube called an ovipositor - and they will not actually sting you with it. In some wasps this ovipositor has been modified into a sting which injects venom - and these are the wasps you are more familiar with. And also why only female wasps and bees can sting you.
