Description:

broadleaf evergreen shrush about 3 feet tall and wide; pink blooms in winter (first of Feb here) are extremely fragrant; glosssy leathery varigated green leaves

Habitat:

planted close to the house and protected from wind

Notes:

cultivated; in full bloom first of February; leaves easily burn in winter cold
