Description:

Dragonflies have large eyes and two pair of transparent wings that are perpendicular to the body. This dragonfly was large and had dark stripes on his transparent wings. They are fast flying insects. This is a species common name, twelve spotted skimmer.

Habitat:

They are found near wetlands and marshes, lakes and ponds. They eat mosquitoes, flies and wasps and other small insects.
