Species ID Suggestions

Comments (6)

I conducted a lot of aquatic macroinvertebrate sampling and identification back in the 1990s. I have an identification key somewhere. I will try to find it and narrow down the ID from the photo to family if possible.
I agree Gilma Jeannette Ospino Ferreira-Norman! When it comes to these macroinvertebrates, I'm a little unsure because they are all so similar.
Thank you, Jeff Dreier. My students tentatively identified it as a stonefly nymph but it was so huge, we weren't sure. Thanks for the help and confirmation!
It appears to be a stonefly nymph (Plecoptera).
