Description:

Preying mantis? (Or is it praying?) Some kind of stick bug? Long green insect with brown wings that, when closed, look like a leaf. About as long as a hand. Found him on top of my car yesterday morning. Carefully transported him to the ground before I took off. Beautiful creature!

Habitat:

Northeastern connecticut, rural, wooded.

Nice find! It was good of you to move him to a safer place. :) This would be a nice addition to the Marvelous Mantids of the North East mission: http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/15738247
