Canal/deciduous habitat.

Notes:

Last winter,this muskrat was feeding on a hillside when I approached. He ran down to the ice and paused for a couple of quick shots just before escaping below the ice.

Thanks Marta. What's really awesome is when you see them swimming under the ice and you never saw them prior. It's always a cool surprise.
