That's great information, Hema. Hard to be an insect with only 4 legs. I'll add the link to my spotting as well.

only four walking legs. These are the "brush footed butterflies" called nymphalidae. The first pair of legs are modified as brushes and held forwards forming the pointy nose. They are used to clean its face, antennae and proboscis. I had a butterfly spot from the same family and was fascinated to learn this,thanks to professor Martin L from Australia.

That's a fine looking specimen. Did you know they only had four legs? I didn't until my first spotting.
