Field Notes

Description:

Large, reddish-brown beetle with large dark eyes. Yellowish hairs along underside of elytra, feet and a couple of other areas. Small spines on sides of protonum.

Habitat:

Suburban yard. Attracted to my lights during Moth Week 2013.

Notes:

One of the largest beetles I have seen.
