Field Notes

Description:

A large flock of Sandhill Cranes circled the lake and landed on the mudflat at dusk to spend the night. I had just come from Brookville Lake near Liberty Indiana, about 10 miles to the West, where I had seen 1000+ along the mudflat at Treaty Line road.

Thanks for posting this Allan! I have only heard them passing overhead once, never got a good look for myself.
