Scoliidae, most probably a Radumeris sp.. The one from the link, Radumeris radula looks (almost) identical, but was taken in Western Australia. There is also a Radumeris tasmaniensis, also from Western Australia: http://www.flickr.com/photos/31031835@N08/6367906369. Please, verify and check the different location. http://www.nzffa.org.nz/farm-forestry-model/the-essentials/forest-health-pests-and-diseases/blown-in-the-wind-or-border-slippage/ If I am wrong, then I apologize and suggest, that you check other Scoliidae, like for example Campsomeris sp..
