Seen in mountain terrane at Rancho Naturalista. Primary pre-montane Caribbean slope rainforest at 2970ft (900m)

Definitely a Gomphidae. There are several species found in Costa Rica, for example Epigomphus, Phyllogomphoides, Progomphus and certainly some more genus.
