Description:

Watched this small Carolina anole, sunning itself on a window, change from brown to green. In the first photo, you can see that its back is partly green, partly brown. The series shows the color change from brown to green over the course of 3 minutes ... ending with a little nap.

Wikipedia:

The Carolina anole (Anolis carolinensis) is an arboreal lizard found primarily in the southeastern United States and some Caribbean islands. Other common names include the green anole, American anole and red-throated anole. It is also sometimes referred to as the American chameleon due to its ability to change color from several brown hues to bright green. While many kinds of lizards are capable of changing color, anoles are closely related to iguanas and are not true chameleons.

Beautiful captures, Suzanne!
Know what, I just had kind of a long, crappy day. So, it was great to come home, log on and see "Hey, cool lizards pics" messages from friends and new friends on Project Noah. So, thanks, all y'all. I thought the little lizard looked so comfortable and content taking his nap in the last pic ...
That's really cool, thanks for sharing!
His eyes are wary, afraid of such a spider
great to be able to observe something like this! It is a real treat! Great work!!
Thanks. It was cool to be able to photograph the color change. Total accident. I was on my way back from taking a new shot of a "mystery tree" tree in my collection that was doing something new ...
