A rather hefty bee with yellow spots on its back. Attempting to collect from a crape ginger flower.

Thanks, Bayucca. I've read that 3 species of carpenter bees occur in Singapore: Xylocopa latipes, X. confusa and X. caerulea. But none of them appear to have those yellow spots on their backs.
Looks like Carpenter Bee.
