Awesome, new critters are always exciting!
Thanks for the correction, Ashley. Reading the description on the herps of NC site, this makes sense. This is my first spotting of this snake!
Great snake, and awesome you found it in your yard! If you look in the first photo, you can see some of the belly scales. On a worm snake, that area would be very pink. Also, worm snakes have a more round head whereas the earth snakes have a very pointed head. Hope this makes sense!
