Habitat:

Saprobic on decaying logs and stumps of hardwoods and conifers; growing in dense clusters; summer and fall (over winter in warmer areas); widely distributed in North America.

Notes:

The first four photos were all taken on the same log. The last photo was taken on the same trail, about a mile away.
