Field Notes
Description:
One of my bluebird boxes had had three nests installed (one atop the other) by various birds. When the Carolina wrens stopped going to it, I decided to clean it out and was surprised to find a resident; if you look hard, you can see the frog at the top in the middle. It leapt out across my shoulder and landed in a plant. this was the first time I'd had a frog residing in a bluebird box.
Habitat:
Bluebird box in my yard
