Description:

There were many of these small dense clusters of some larvae on eucalyptus leaves at the local park. Not moving apparently. Pic 2 is against sunlight. Each larva seemed about 6mm long.

Habitat:

Eucalyptus leaves at local sports park.

Notes:

Yet to search for species and behaviour... ? (maybe not ladybirds??)

I think they have just hatched and are eating their egg shells. They will eventually disperse.
Thanks Martin. I wonder why they cluster like this.
You are correct about these too. I most often see ladybird beetles on acacia. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/8280281
