Field Notes

Description:

Strikingly patterned lark with camouflage colouring otherwise. Black stripe under the eye, and a black bib-like collar. It blends right in with the rocky shores of Lake Pangong (Pangong Tso).

Habitat:

On the shores of Lake Pangong in the icy Himalayan region of Ladakh.

Notes:

Plaesant song.
